Journaling Through February.
Hello Daisy fans! It's Kylie back with you today to share how I like to journal in my planner. Here's the thing.... I have always wanted to be a consistent journal writer, but I am terrible at writing. I usually find myself envious of those who can fill pages easily where I usually only manage a few sentences. However the creative element of journaling has always drawn me in and kept me interested! One thing I used to struggle with was thinking I must not be too interesting as I couldn't find much to journal about! LOL! Sound familiar too?? Thankfully, Cocoa Daisy now has a Journal Challenge printable each month with different prompts to complete. I use an A5 planner for my day to day planning, but for my journal entries I have used a classic Happy Planner.
I think with planning or journaling it is important to find a method that works for you and stick to it. The way in which I have been filling my journal planner pages really works for me and suits my way of writing! Each month I like to print out the challenge prompt sheet and add into my planner for reference. Because I tend to journal in point form at times, I have also added the weeks prompts to the left hand column on each spread, that way when I look back through my pages I know what each daily prompt was.
As you can see my journal writing is kept very simple which allows me to be able to add creative elements to my pages. February's 'Denim & Blush' goodies are all so beautiful. I have used elements from the Planner, Planner Add-On, Planner Classified and TN Memory Keeping kits. You can check out all of the February products HERE.
As you can see from my weekly spread I also like to add photos alongside my journaling. To print them, I use my Silhouette Cameo software to be able to resize them to fit into the planner boxes. In this case they are sized to 1.5"x 2.5". Some I print larger and I use my Happy Planner punch to be able to cut them out evenly.
I usually like to fill any left over box with varying papers, embellishments and stickers. They are also great to add quotes or stamping to as well.
Last month in my blog post I mentioned how much I loved the TNMK cards and how versatile they are. I have also used them this month in my journal planner as a tip in. I will most likely add some more photos of the week to the back side of this card and love how they look in my weekly spread.
So you can see how my pages came together I have also filmed a short 'Journal With Me' video-
