It's a Flannel and Frost Stamp Party!
Hello friends, On the blog today, four of our DT members are sharing how they are using the stamp sets from our Flannel and Frost collection. Grab a cup of your favorite brew and join us for a walkthrough of their designs. Let's begin with this memory planner layout by Traci. "I've gotta be honest, stamping has never really been my thing, but I have so many gorgeous Cocoa Daisy Stamps that I've been trying a ton this year to work them in to all kinds of projects!" "For October, I decided to use the beautiful leaf stamps in the Flannel and Frost collection to decorate my planner monthly view! Who can resist falling leaves?" "I also stamped two sentiments in yellow ink and it added that little something different to my spread to really make it stand out!" We think Traci's stamping is awesome and are so glad she is enjoying working with her Cocoa Daisy stamp sets! And you can see how this layout come together by clicking here to view Traci's process video. Our next design is from Casie and she used her stamps in a page of 2x2 sized pockets. "Who loves to add stamping to their projects? I often use them to create my own journaling cards or title elements in layouts. But for this design, I wanted to showcase the fantastic fall colors of the pattern papers and incorporate the stamps from the memory keeping pocket kit." "I used the arrows and leaf stamps to add to the pattern paper. And a very subtle wreath can be seen stamped in the watercolor-like paper." "Click here to view my video walkthrough of how I created this layout using one of my favorite pocket page layouts - 2x2 squares." There is a lot of subtle stamping in Casie's layout. Stamping doesn't need to be bold to create interest. Next, Kristine is sharing a design in her memory planner. "Despite my recent infatuation with stickers, I am a long-time stamper, and I love when Cocoa Daisy includes layering stamps in their kits, like the leaves in the stamp set from the Flannel and Frost Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit." "I used them two ways in this simple but pretty layout - individually up top, between the days of the week, and together in two decorative strips, one on each page." "I stamped the individual ones right on the page and stamped the strips on a separate piece of cardstock, then cut them out, and mounted them with foam tape for a bit of dimension. They will be a pretty accent to my photos and journaling on this spread." Kristine's memory planner layouts are beautiful and we love seeing how she uses our kits each month. She always has amazing ideas to share! Our final design is from Evy and she is sharing a mixed media idea we are sure you will want to try. "As you know I love stamps, they are always among my top 3 favorite kit items each month. This time, however, I wanted to show you a different way to use them and so here we are creating homemade die cuts." "I took the stamps with the leaves (from the TNMK kit), a white sheet, a black pad and some Tim Holtz oxides inks in crackling campfire, ripe persimmon, spiced marmalade, and peeled paint." "I filled the sheet using the leaf outline stamps and then used the oxides and the full leaf stamps to color them. Then with a little patience I cut them out and used them for my memorydex cards." "In addition to these leaves I used some other stamps to embellish my cards and am very happy with the final result." Another amazing mixed media idea from Evy. We love her memorydex idea and wonder if you are creating memorydex cards too? Show us your ideas and layouts with stamps in our private facebook group or share with us on social media. Be sure to use the @cocoa_daisy tag so that we can see what you are making. Be well and safe! ~Robin
