Get inspired by the circular goodies found in the Mediterranean Muse Scrapbooking Kit!
One of my favorite things about working with the Mediterranean Muse Scrapbooking Kit from Cocoa Daisy is how easy it is to dive into a theme and play. As I started creating this layout, I noticed that so many of the die cuts and embellishments were already in circle form—icons, sentiments, even some of the illustrations. Rather than fight it, I decided to fully embrace the round motif and let it guide the entire design.
I started by punching or trimming my photos and patterned papers into circles, then layered in all those circular die cuts to create a sense of movement across the page. It gave everything a cohesive look and helped the page feel fun and light, just like our day on the water. The repetition of the shape helped tie it all together, but I knew I needed a little contrast to keep it from becoming too one-note.
That’s where the rectangular elements and more organic shapes came in. I added some labels, blocky titles, and that adorable little sailboat illustration to break up the repetition and add visual interest. Even the anchors, fish, and octopus helped introduce a little variety while still sticking to the nautical vibe. It’s a good reminder that even when you lean into a strong design element, a few strategic exceptions can make your page feel more dynamic.
This layout is such a celebration of summer memories, and I love how the circles echo the playfulness of a beachy, carefree day. Whether you're working with shapes intentionally or just rolling with what’s in your kit, there’s always a creative way to pull everything together.
