Insert Covers: Focus on Circles

Insert Covers: Focus on Circles
Making dashboards and insert covers is one of my favorite things to do in my planners. This month I'm housing all of my inserts in my Standard sized TN. I'm trying something new and mixing different sized notebooks altogether in one TN. I love how it is working out. Here's a view of how they look. Since I'm using different sized inserts - a pocket insert, the Daisy Weeks insert and a PrintPression weeks booklet,-  I decided that I wanted to tie them together somehow. I did this by using circles as a common element on the covers. It was a fun way to use my supplies and come up with a cohesive theme for my TN. Here's the first cover that I made. I used the circle folded paper and trimmed it to fit the pocket sized notebook. Since this already had circles on it, I simply added some chipboard circles into them. The phrases on the chipboard are so much fun and perfect for January! My next cover uses a bunch of punched circles. I punched them right from the circle patterned paper. I adhered these to a strip of patterned paper, layering them on top of each other as I added them to the panel. I then added the entire strip to the blue polka dot paper. I finished off with some of the glittery enamel dots. I placed them in various places on each of the circles. This cover was placed inside a plastic cover for my Weeks notebook. I love that 'January Shenanigans' die cut and thought it was the perfect title for my daily carry. LOL. My last cover uses the negative space from the paper that I had punched the circles from. I flipped it over and used the composition book pattern for this cover. I used a strip with three punched circles. This was adhered to  a strip of patterned paper which I trimmed to fit my Daisy Weeks insert. Then, I layered some of my favorite die cuts onto it. The enamel dots at the top finished it off. I love the texture that this insert has. Even though it's not very flat, it still fits perfectly in the larger TN cover. As you can see, each cover is different from the others, but the circles tie the whole collection together. I'm really happy with how they all look together. Here's a final peek at the inside of my notebook with the inserts layered together. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Creating!
