Hello, Friends! We have hearts on the mind as we head into Valentine‚Äôs weekend (that is a thing, right?). But as you will see today, memory keeping with hearts is not limited to just documenting romantic love. Today, our design team shows us that hearts can be used for all kinds of layouts like documenting music favorites, furry friends, and yes, ourselves! Ashley‚Äôs design has a cohesive feel, thanks to her cute little hearts. "Repetitive shapes add a great visual element to a page. For this spread, I used the puffy heart stickers included in the Denim and Blush Classified: Memory Keeping Kit to document my favorite songs right now. First, I cut down one 4x6 card from the Denim and Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit for my journaling. Then, I used two sheets of white cardstock to make my own 3x4 cards. I can‚Äôt get enough of the leaf stamps and blush pink ink in the Denim and Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit! I used washi tape to mask the top and bottom of each card and stamped to my heart‚Äôs content. Then, I printed 2x2 photos of the album cover art for each song, matted them with the Denim and Blush Collection¬†product packaging, and added foam tape for extra dimension.¬†Finally, I added a puffy heart sticker at the top and the name of the song at the bottom of each card. Ashley was creative with the white cardstock and stamps by creating her own journal cards. The delicate puffy hearts are a lovely consistent element in her design. Aimee shares how she uses hearts to document a little self-love! "Hi there, it‚Äôs Aimee here with you today and I want to talk about hearts and opportunities for self-love! There are so many hearts that come in the Denim and Blush Collection- it is February after all, so let‚Äôs make a layout full of hearts and focus on YOU! For this layout I decided to work in my Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters, finding it to be a great size for the overall look I wanted to achieve. I decided to use my die cut machine and cut some hearts in varying sizes out of this subtle, vintage-looking notebook patterned paper from the Denim and Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit to use as background elements. I layered on my photo as well as a torn strip of, you guessed it, heart paper! I then stumbled upon some stickers from the Denim and Blush Memory Keeping Sticker Kit that are all about self-love and stuck those down to the page. These stickers were a perfect fit for this kind of spread. To finish this page up, I decided to make a title using the stamp set from the Denim and Blush Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit using that beautiful cursive ‚Äúlove‚Äù stamp. I stamped it directly onto one of my die cut hearts and then added the blush pink alphas underneath to make the title read, ‚ÄúLove Yourself‚Äù. After a healthy dose of chipboard and stamped hearts around the page, this layout is complete! I hope you were inspired today to focus on a self-love project or use hearts on your spread. Aimee does an amazing job here, especially with the hearts cut from the vintage ledger paper. If you don‚Äôt have a cutting machine, that‚Äôs ok! You can always trace and cut shapes by hand (that‚Äôs what I do!). Aimee leans into the hearts by adding stickers and stamps, giving us all the heart eyes over here. Traci uses a heart shape to make unique frames for her spread. "Hearts are a motif I love and use often in my scrapbooking, but with this layout, I really liked the idea of making a heart frame border to frame a portion of my photo. I designed this cut file and cut it on glitter cardstock, and then backed every heart except one in patterned paper from the Denim and Blush Collection.   For the last (or first) heart, I slid my photo under it in such a way that it framed the portion of the photo I was wishing to emphasize to tell my story. I was able to cover the remaining "dead" space in my photo with a floral sticker. To complete the heart motif, I used chipboard and stamped hearts from the collection as well as a heart die cut as part of my title. The key to using so many of the same shape and not making it repetitive is to use different types of media! I used 5 different styles of hearts on this layout!
