I Love You Like...
Hello Daisies! Our design team is sharing what is in their hearts with us today. Sweet designs about love and the impact it has on their lives. We hope you are inspired to document the love in your life today too. Now let’s see what Ria has for us. “Valentine’s Day is an awesome time to give small gifts to the people we love. It’s also a great reason to create DIY Valentine tags, which look so cute on top of our presents.” ”First, I cut out tag shapes from the Love Notes kit patterned papers. The kits have a lot of beautiful love themed stickers and ephemera that you can easily mix and match to your liking. Click here to view a video showing how quick and easy it was to make these tags.” ”My relationship with my husband has always been one of the least documented themes in my memory keeping so for Valentine’s Day, I also chose to create a layout that celebrates our togetherness.” ”I loved the banner patterned paper from the TN kit and it was my inspiration for the right panel of my layout. I fussy cut these Pretty Little Studio banner shaped word flags that came in the Classified MK kit. I love how the colors match the patterned paper. Lastly, I attached a dimensional heart sticker for texture. I hope that when my husband sees this layout he’ll know how much I value our relationship!” Elegant and sweet are the hallmark of Ria’s designs. Ria’s design ideas are a great template for quick and simple memory keeping. Next we have a journaling layout from Melina. “I’m sharing the start of my February journal with the Love Notes Simple Dori. February holds more than just Valentine’s Day for me. It’s also my wedding anniversary month so I have lots of love for February.” “I decided to begin with one of my favorite love verses. I added the verse to one of the sticky notes from the kits and adhered it to my page. I used stickers and die cuts to decorate my pages too.” “I will also say if you aren’t getting the pen each month in the main planner kits, you’re missing out. The ink glides effortlessly! I love a good pen and Cocoa Daisy does not disappoint!” We love Melina’s heartfelt journaling and the simple way she embellished her opening words. It’s another simple and sweet design. Our final share is a this 8.5x11 layout by Sabrina. “For this assignment I decided to go with documenting my love of reading at night. I love to stay up all night reading especially on Fridays and Saturdays.” “I took a recent photo of me reading and made a 8.5 x 11 spread. I used 2 journaling cards and then cut some of the 6x8 papers into 3x4 cards. I then layered and a bunch of diecuts, labels and stickers.” “I placed my title in the middle of the spread to tie both sections together. I also reached into my Cocoa Daisy stash and pulled out some September Book Club stamps that had reading phrases on them. They were perfect because I will always read past my bedtime!” We love Sabrina’s layered mix of journal cards and papers to highlight her story. She created a visual triangle with puffy hearts and a second triangle with embellishment clusters. And Sabrina’s stamping in colored ink is divine.
