Field Notes with Serengeti

Field Notes with Serengeti
Hello friends, I have today's blog post all to myself and its so exciting for an introvert like me, LOL! I am sharing a post about journaling with the Serengeti memory keeping kits. I liked the idea of restating this theme as field notes rather than journaling because it sounds cool! All right, enough stalling, lets get to it! Here's a look at my completed design. One of the joys of memory keeping for me is the story and I enjoy 2x2 pockets because they allow me to create a story within story. My 2x2 pockets are the focus of this layout. Let's begin with my seriously serious love of this pinkish yellow gold paper which is the basis of my layout. The little ink blocks are really cute too and I enjoyed playing with them. Ultimately, I decided the gold ink was a perfect subtle element for my layout and used it as a background and a double stamp in my design. And while I am on the memory keeping design team, the embellishments in the planner kits are often included in my layouts. The design I am sharing today uses several die cuts and the notepad from our main planner kit. I want to emphasize that for me the story is the absolute most important element of memory keeping and I love to document my stories in unique ways with my Cocoa Daisy kits. The 3x4 side of my layout is another opportunity for me to add to the story of this week in my #52favorites album. I hope you enjoyed seeing the intersection of story and creative ideas in my design share today.
