Documenting December with the Winter Twilight Collection

Documenting December with the Winter Twilight Collection
Hello, friends! It's the most wonderful time of the year...for memory-keeping, that is! It has become a bit of a tradition for paper crafters to engage in daily, or close to daily documenting of all the happenings in December. Our Creative Team enjoys documenting this season and want to share how they tackle this special project. Let's see what stories they are telling with the Winter Twilight Collection! Aimee played off the blues in the collection to document the chilly December weather. "I just love December documenting and the blues in the Winter Twilight Collection are so beautiful. I decided to document the weather in my December album so I snapped a photo of myself bundled up in my fur hood! I chose to use a page protector from scrapbook.com that has two 3x4 inch spots and one 3x8 pocket because I knew I wanted to use this large, ‚Äúbaby it‚Äôs cold outside‚Äù tag from the Winter Twilight Classified: Memory Keeping Kit‚Äî it‚Äôs absolutely perfect for this page and fit in the pocket perfectly. I thought about adding a journaling card to my next pocket but decided that this page would be a nice spot to have some fun and add some glitz and glimmer to my album! I grabbed the aqua sequins that came in the Classified: Memory Keeping Kit and added them to my pocket along with some of the silver die cuts and some white sequins from my stash. Once I combined them in the pocket, I machine stitched it closed and added an adhesive die-cut phrase right onto the outside of the pocket so it would stay in place. I love the way this turned out and I think it‚Äôs a pretty simple way to add some extra shine to your December stories! Happy crafting!"   Are you watching holiday movies? Why not document it, as Marsha has done here! "I love documenting December- it‚Äôs one of my favorite memory-keeping projects! This year, I am using a traveler‚Äôs notebook-sized album and plan to mix in full-page layouts and pocket pages. I chose to document our first holiday movie night of the season and my snowflake mug of eggnog. I was excited to see all the snowflakes and stars in the Winter Twilight Collection and thought they would be perfect for this page! I included several of the die-cut snowflakes from the Winter Twilight Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Winter Twilight Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, along with the embossed puffy snowflake and star stickers on the page. I also mixed in stamped snowflakes using navy, light blue, and gray inks. The snowflake patterned paper from the Winter Twilight Memory Keeping Papers was perfect to layer behind my photo and brought in the colors from the left page of the spread. I added my title with the blue puffy alpha stickers and included another puffy snowflake sticker and chipboard stars from the Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to complete the layout.   I love how this spread turned out using the Winter Twilight Collection! Happy December documenting!"   With a month-long project during a busy season, it is nice to give yourself a head start and prep pages, like Carol demonstrates here. "For many years now I have used a mini album to document all the festive December things. This year, I decided to simplify and just include all of the photos and stories in my 12 x 12 Pocket Page Album.   For the first several days of the month, I went ahead and trimmed down papers from the Winter Twilight Modern Memory Keeping Kit to slide in the pockets and be used as photo mattes. I used several of the chipboard stars and die cuts¬†from the Modern Memory Keeping Kit in the most generic way that I could since I don‚Äôt have a clear idea of what photos and stories I will be telling.   I used a 3x4 card with the food theme and added some stickers from the Winter Twilight Memory Keeping Sticker Kit as well as another chipboard star for dimension. I am honestly quite pleased with the versatility that pocket pages provide and I don‚Äôt miss the mini-album aspect. It will be an adventure to work in this size for the month and I can‚Äôt wait to share how it all unfolds. Happy documenting y‚Äôall!"   Are you inspired to document your December memories?
