Nathalie DeSousa: Document Signs of Fall with the Simple Daisy Notebook

Hi there! We are heading into Fall, which means it is time to get all the cozy feelings of the gorgeous Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit to document your memories. I love all the pieces in the Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit and love how beautifully they work in my Chapters of September SimpleDaisy Notebook. Let me show you what I have created.

I am taking advantage of the split-patterned paper design in the Chapters of September SimpleDaisy Notebook to create this spread, as it helped me achieve the perfect placement for pieces in it. The setup gave me a map to the ideal space for my photo and title, thus making this spread come together in a flash. First, I set up the photo on the top half of the page. I loved how the exclusive stamp and rub-ons in the Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit coordinated. The idea of creating a small tag for the picture to resemble that of a tea bag just came to mind.

I quickly added the rub-on image onto white cardstock and then used the stamp to create the twine and tag. I carefully fussy cut around the image, then attached it to the top left corner of the photo, and then looped the stamped twine as if the tag is coming from the back page. I did not want to add more onto the page as I wanted the image to shine.

The word sticker die-cuts in the Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit, in combination with a sprinkle of some of the rub-ons and ephemera die cuts, served to build a title below the photo. I made sure that the title sits at the same level as the junction of the patterns on the opposite side of the spread. This makes it easier to balance the spread by creating a large cluster on the other side of the title.

There are so many embellishments in the Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit that it was easy to cluster them together. The exclusive stamp’s small sentiments helped to bring it all together. The journaling just fit seamlessly at the top of the cluster. I just loved how this all turned out, and how easy it came together in my Chapters of September SimpleDaisy Notebook with the Chapters of September Scrapbook Kit. Hopefully, you are also having fun documenting your memories. XO
