DIY Journal Cover with the Planner Kit Papers!

Hello, friends!
The Mediterranean Muse Planner Kit Papers are beautiful and sturdy! You can even make your own journal cover with them!
While I have plenty of covers that fit my Daisy Weeks Notebook I wanted to try making a cover using the papers from the Mediterranean Muse Planner Kit as the actual cover and it worked! You can see the cover up close in this video.
The process involves cutting only trimming the paper to the length of the notebook and keeping all the width in tact. The extra width becomes a pocket for the notebook to slip into. A few pieces of clear tape on the top and bottom of the paper work great for keeping the notebook tucked inside.
I like my covers to have an elastic closure. To create this, I punched a hole in the back of the paper cover and threaded some elastic through the punched hole. Once the length was correct, I knotted it, which you can't see because the knot is inside the back pocket. For some extra flair, I removed the charms from the large clip found in the Mediterranean Muse Planner Kit and secured the charms to the elastic.
Now that the base of the cover was complete, it was time to decorate. I was very drawn to the die cuts in the Mediterranean Muse Planner Kit. A small layered cluster of embellishments felt right against the crisp blue and white stripe. Now my "Little Win's and Glimmers" journal is protected with the cutest DIY cover that ever was!
