Hello Daisies,
We hope you have a fun weekend at home planned and if you're in the mood for crafting, our design team has wonderfully creative ideas to get you started. Today's challenge is "designer's choice" and we are excited to share our DT's layouts with you! Let's begin with Evy's idea for reconstructing her Simple Dori TN.
"For this layout I wanted to play on monochromatic by choosing a color that I use very rarely. I explained my desire to test myself with new things in 2020 in another post at the beginning of the year, and if you follow me on social media you will have noticed it is a year of many firsts! So for this month I decided to remove the staples from my Simple Dori and insert project life pages and vellums. I sewed the seam with twine to put it back together. This way I don't risk my notebook exploding in the middle of the month as always!"
"In this project on the right page I used one of the inserted pages of project Life, I added the photos and a cropped card, then I played with various stickers and embellishments."
"On the left I cut a coordinated piece of paper, covered it with torn vellum and glued it with a piece of washi. I wrote the title using the puffy alphabet, added some drop enamel, and a couple of die cuts and twine trying to use all the embellishments of the same color."
"And here is the result, it doesn't even seem like my layout!"
Evy always has wonderful ideas for making her Simple Dori TNs unique as well as giving them varying degrees of texture. We're sure you'll agree that Evy's monochromatic design is lovely and especially adorable too. Next we have a traditional layout by Sabrina.
"For this project I was able to pick my own topic! So fun!"
"I decided to document right now and everything that’s going on. I used the Up and Away journaling card that says 'routine'. I then dug into my stash of Cocoa Daisy stamp sets from the past year and I created my own background."
"I also made some custom embellishments because I wanted some visual striking points on my layout. So I took some of the banner stickers and a die cut and made a pinwheel type flower. I then added some string wrapped around the middle. I love how them came out!"
"This was such a fun project to make a document what is going on right now."
Sabrina's background is gorgeous and the pinwheel flowers are a fantastic idea for using banner stickers and twine from the Up & Away kits! Sabina's flowers draw us in and around her design. And she shows us the versatility of Cocoa Daisy stamps too.
We'd love to see what you're doing with our kits. Please share with us in our Cocoa Daisy Fans Facebook group or tag @cocoa_daisy on social media. We look forward to seeing what create!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend. Be well!
