The versatility of the  October Afternoon Creative Kit and the fun designs in the stamp set are the perfect combination to bring a Fall outdoors story together. What is better than a bit of stamping and layers to document a moment in time? Let’s look at today’s project!

  

I have to say that part of the inspiration for this page were the leaves all scattered on the walking path in the photos. So, I decided to bring some of that messy look to the page using the rubber stamps that are included in the October Afternoon Creative Kit and inks in autumnal tones. I also brought some extra leaves impression using the images from the Hello Fall Exclusive Stamp Set.

 

 

To unify the two sides of the spread, I needed to extend the patterned look onto the stamped background. I trimmed a piece of paper from the 6x8 paper pad in the October Afternoon Creative Kit and adhere at the centerline of the spread. Once the photo was adhered, I used a combination of the die cuts and rub-on transfers from the October Afternoon Creative Kit to create the title for the page.

 

 

I wanted to continue the layered look of the spread onto its left side. So, I started by adding faint impressions of the rubber stamps in the October Afternoon Creative Kit and Hello Fall Exclusive Stamp Set on the patterned paper. I decided to carefully cut the inner image from one of the cards included in the  October Afternoon Creative Kit and used it as a frame to house the other photo of this spread. I embellished with a few layers of die cuts to the left of the photo – all these come from the October Afternoon Creative Kit.

 

  

The large images in the October Afternoon Creative Kit rub-ons captured the essence of the pictures, so I added one of them to a piece of white cardstock, then fussy-cut it out and used it as a die cut on top of the layered ephemera on the spread.

 

 

To end the spread, I added my journaling and scattered a few extra rub-ons from the October Afternoon Creative Kit all around the page to bring it all together.
