April Orr Prefers Behind the Scenes, But Was The Star Of Solstice
We are thrilled when April Orr agreed to be our September Memory Keeping guest last spring. We knew we had to have a specific kind of person to work with the Solstice Collection, it's sophisticated art and it needed the same kind of creator to make it shine. We are confident you'll agree we got exactly that with April Orr. We love that she went very clean, but so detailed. It's a treat to go through her Pinterest gallery and find all the little extras she added to her projects. Get to know April better by reading through the answers to our questionnaire.
1. When is your most creative time?
My most creative time is often early in the morning before my boys are awake, coffee in hand. Otherwise, it is several stolen creative moments throughout the day.
2. How do you unwind?
I love to read, workout, and hang with my boys. I don’t sit still well and am very much a work in progress when it comes to being still and truly resting.
3. If you were in a Rock N' Roll band, what would your job be?
Poster designer? Lol, something wayyyyy behind the scenes but still involved with the people.
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
Snickerdoodles. Cupcakes. Even better, snickerdoodle cupcakes.
5. If your life was a movie, what actress would play you?
We’ll make it animated and say Moana. I love that she is physically strong yet still fighting moments of self doubt. I can relate to that.
6. If your life were a novel, what would the title be?
A Quiet Strength
7. What was your first job and how did you get it?
My first job was babysitting for neighbors across the street. I actually worked for them for several years until the kids were in middle school.
8. Share three of your bucket list items with us.
Run a full marathon or a Ragnar Relay, girls road trip, and learn to use my big camera without auto focus.
9. What is “dressed up” for you?
Joggers, Rothy sneakers, and a graphic tee, heh.
