About Last Month
Hello, Friends! We have already sprung into April, but that doesn't mean we can't look back at March, right? I know for me, I'm usually still in the midst of documenting the previous month (or two!) as I enter the present month. And you know what? That is OK! It is also more than ok to still be working through your previous month's kits as you admire and dive into your current month's kit. With their complementary color palettes, it is easy to mix and match the Treetop Canopy Collection with the Poppy Fields Collection, so don't be afraid to do that! Let's see how Audrey is wrapping up her March memory keeping with a pocket page spread. ‚ÄúHappy Spring!! As soon as I saw the crocuses come up in my yard I knew I had to snap a few pictures of them growing to put in my 9x12 monthly project life. Because this is a story from March, I used the Treetop Canopy Collection that is geared to all things March. Because the crocuses are purple, but there are no purples in the kit, I focused on the greens from the kit to accent the purples.   On the top photo, I had two 3x4 sized cards so I put them together on the back of a 6x4 card to fit into the pockets. For my journal card, I used a piece of paper in the green hues and a few embellishments. I always love making my own journal cards !   Finally, I ended with some embellishments scattered around the page. Those clear word sentiments were a perfect addition to the photos. Cheers to Springtime and new growth!‚Äù We love how Audrey focused on the green tones from the kit, becoming the neutral tone in the spread, making her beautiful photos really pop. In her memory planner, Jennie doesn't shy away from mixing up which collections she uses on her weekly pages each month. "This is exactly how I want to remember March! I'm not a big fan of winter so I am basically always just waiting for the warmer days to show up. This week in March brought those warmer temps and the Poppy Fields Collection. I am obsessed with the poppies and the bright colors. They matched perfectly to all the blues in my photos - and that was an easy way to document this week.     I layered my stickers - trying to cluster 3 stickers together in each of the main focal points. The best way I know how to do this is a big background sticker + medium size anchor - in many cases a label (on the upper right-hand corner the medium size anchor was the flowers) and then a smaller accent. This idea serves me well to create appealing embellishments that compliment my photos and do not compete with them. We love how Jennie uses the stickers from the Poppy Field Memory Keeping Sticker Kit in her memory planner. And how perfect is that blue pattern marble paper from the Poppy Fields Modern Memory Keeping Kit; it looks just like a pool!¬† How are reflecting on last month in your memory-keeping projects?
