Laurie Grabarkewitz: Ideas for Daily PagesEach month I get the B6 Ring Inserts with my Planner Kit Subscription. I often do not need to have a 2-page spread for my daily to-dos, so I struggle with what to do with the pages I don't always use. This month, I decided to challenge myself to use these pages in some ways that they were not originally intended for. Keep reading to see what I came up with! For my first idea, I used the daily list page and turned it into a meal planner/prep page that I can refer back to when I am meal planning, I thought it went well with the cute sticky note meal planners we got this month in the Daisy Fields Planner Kit. On the reverse side, I found a pocket in my stash and attached it to the back to hold recipe cards for foods I want to try this month. My second idea was to use the list page again to record some "currently" thoughts. I placed it in a page protector so I can always attach it to a memory planner at some point. My third idea was to turn one into a fall book list. For this idea, I covered the listing side with some paper and used one of the pocket cards from the Daisy Fields Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I made a pocket to hold it along with the cute paper clip that came in the kit. My goal this year has been to read 4 books each month and I have been keeping a running total on just plain graph paper but this will be a much cuter option! Well, what do you think? Do you see yourself adopting any of these ideas in your planner?
Jennie McGarvey: Memory Planning with the Classic Minimalist Inserts
I know that often the Minimalist Collection Classic inserts are often thought of as a blank slate and a lot of space to fill. For some, that might be overwhelming. For me, it's thrilling. I absolutely love having this space to document the week and adding a bit of decor.
This particular planner is a memory planner. It's the planner that will contain all the things I did during the week and sit on my shelf at the end of the year. However. it's not the planner I make checklists in, and keep open on my desk daily.
I love adding as much color as possible and one of the ways I find fun to do that is with the Click Art pens, like the ones found in the Daisy Fields Planner Add-On Kit. I also love the navy daisy washi from the same kit; it adds such a fun contrast to this particular layout.
Now, the other thing that I love about these inserts is the ability to use all the clear stickers on these layouts with no problems. There are no colors on the page that will interfere with the clear stickers! I love that.
These inserts are beautiful and offer lots of room for all the function and decoration I love to use each week.
Cheryl Reiter: Personalize Your Inserts
When I received my box with the Daisy Fields Collection, I started by setting up my monthly calendar that came with the Daisy Fields Personal Size Inserts. The month is dated and has a beautiful border already set up! I included all the mini-labels from the Daisy Fields Planner Kit that highlight any holidays and upcoming appointments. It makes setting up the month so easy!
In the following section, I set up my gratitude pages. I love using the colorful week-on-one page insert for this. I look through all the stickers in the kits and find one that works with being thankful. The "Hearts Are Prettier when they are thankful" from the Daisy Fields Classic Sticker Kit was perfect! I layered it over hexagon stickers and added the pretty floral sticker on top. I also date the days with the round stickers and layer the colorful vellum dots on top!
In the next section, I set up my weekly planner inserts. I love layering the stickers for added dimension. Saturday and Sunday are in the same block so I use a sticker to divide the two days. In this case, I used the clipboard sticker for Sunday.
The "To-do" starts on a "Daily To-do" but I did not want to leave it blank (since this was before the month begins) so I changed the first page to my "Monthly List" which is perfect for a list of what needs to be accomplished in the upcoming month! I used a combination of letter stickers from the kits and the "Hello September" label.
I then use the "Daily To-do" pages for each day of the month. I date and add stickers to make them both pretty and functional.
