The Spice Market Collection is filled with circle shapes and we want to feature them! You can find circles and half circles in the die cuts, chipboard pieces, stamps, enamel dots, and stickers. You can also make your own with the beautiful pattern papers, too!
I enjoy using circles in my projects, so I was excited to create a layout focusing on this shape as a design element. Circles and half circles are found throughout the Spice Market Collection, making it very easy to incorporate them into my Simple Dori spread.
To begin the layout, I created the title using two stamps from a previous collection, along with alpha stickers from the Spice Market Classic Sticker Kit. Next, I layered a half-circle chipboard sticker below the title. I love how the title, combined with the chipboard element, creates a large circular shape on the page!
For the right side of the spread, I printed my photo and used a circle metal die to cut it out. I don't often use pictures trimmed into shapes but thought it worked well with this design. I trimmed a few papers into circles and chose circle and half circle embellishments from the Spice Market Modern Memory Keeping Kit and Spice Market Traveler's Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to decorate the page. I also trimmed some of the acetate mandalas from the Spice Market Modern Memory Keeping Kit in half and included them on the page.
To complete the layout, I did some stamping with the Spice Market Memory Keeping Stamp Sets and added some fun glitter enamel dots to both pages of the spread. I had fun creating this layout using lots of circular elements!
